Subsek

Subsek is a subscription and recurring cost tracker designed with privacy as a core principle. All data you enter is stored exclusively on your device. Subsek does not collect, transmit, or share your personal or financial data.

• Your name, email address, or any identifying information
• Your subscription names, amounts, or billing details
• Your financial or banking data
• Your location
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Usage analytics or crash reports (beyond what Apple provides to all developers)

All data you enter in Subsek — including subscription names, amounts, billing cycles, categories, notes, and payment method labels — is stored locally on your device using SQLite. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it yourself (e.g. via the CSV export feature).

Subsek does not have access to this data. It is not synced to any cloud service or server operated by us.

Subsek offers a one-time in-app purchase ("Unlimited") to unlock unlimited subscriptions and the import feature. This purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat solely to manage and verify the purchase entitlement on your device.

RevenueCat receives a pseudonymous app user identifier and your purchase receipt to verify your entitlement. No subscription content or financial tracking data is shared with RevenueCat. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy

We do not receive your payment details. All payment processing is handled exclusively by Apple.

If you use a currency other than CHF, Subsek may fetch current exchange rates from the Frankfurter API (api.frankfurter.app), a public open-source service. This request does not include any of your subscription data — it fetches only the exchange rate table. No personal data is sent.

If you choose to search for a subscription logo, Subsek performs a web search to find logo images. This request is sent to a third-party image search service and includes only the service name you typed (e.g. "Netflix"). No subscription amounts, dates, or personal data are included.

Subsek uses local notifications to remind you of upcoming renewals. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device by the operating system. No notification data is sent to any server. You can disable notifications at any time in your device Settings.

The export feature generates a CSV file from your local data and offers it via your device's native share sheet. You control where that file goes. We do not receive a copy.

The import feature reads a file you select from your device. The data is processed locally and written to your local database. We do not receive a copy.

Subsek is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.

If we update this privacy policy, the new version will be made available on the App Store listing and within the app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
